libroot-math-matrix-dev software package provides Matrix library for ROOT - development files, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libroot-math-matrix-dev
libroot-math-matrix-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libroot-math-matrix-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libroot-math-matrix-dev *
You will get with libroot-math-matrix-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
